Throughout his lifetime he developed the Plastic Surgery Units in both the Burwood Hospital in Christchurch and Middlemore Hospital in Auckland. This 268 page biography is based on the extensive archives of Sir William. The author's researched his achievements and used their own personal experience of working with him as trainees and colleagues.
